the idea of a modular system that can be joined, adjusted, switched, and flipped based on customer needs.
Following the official launch of the ‘NEORIENT’ collection, Podium is now taking you to learn more about other
impressive pieces from us.
Over the past half-decade, we believe that many people are more familiar with the word “Modular System” in terms of design and construction. We are saying about parts that can be joined together, adjusted, and flipped in various ways users and designers agree.
In this idea of a modular system, Bloc Smith was founded on joining modular blocks of wood, which can be
configured in different ways or adapted to fit customer space. Bloc Smith presents a wide range of products, starting
from the kitchen, walk-in closet, sofa and bed suitable for each user. This collection came from our intention to fulfil
your space and gather your friends, family, and loved ones in pursuit of joy, laughter, and memories. We desire to let
you experience the customized designs that provide aesthetics and adjustability to fit your lifestyle and space.
Today, Podium introduces you to kitchens from the Bloc Smith collection before talking about other products from this collection next time.
“None of their parts is built at your place…”
Our in-house designers and high professional craftsmen entirely build every piece of Bloc Smith at our factory
and bring them to install in your space without messing up your home. Unlike built-in furniture, the craftsmen have tospend a lot of time in your home to create each piece, including making dirt in the house area. Anyway, the kitchen’s appearance from Bloc Smith doesn’t look different from the built-in furniture, and it is one of the distinctive points thatmake our customers continuously choose kitchens from Bloc Smith into their homes.
This is to say Bloc Smith is a half built-in-furniture collection, which will make your life easier when you are looking for a new perfect kitchen that seamlessly blends in with any surrounding atmosphere.
So, what to do now when you feel interested in a new kitchen from Bloc Smith?
You can start by bringing a house plan into our showroom in Sathorn. Here, you’ll find a range of series options in the Bloc Smith collection, each featuring its own eye-catching materials and designs.
Let’s start with the “AUTUMN BLOC”, the classic woodwork series that has received great feedback from Podium’s customers. Followed by the “LOG” Series, characterized by using a single sheet of wood, showing the uniqueness of the excellent woodwork Podium selected for everyone. The other series is “BLACK FOREST”, which focuses on hardwood materials with high durability like BauBuche made from beech wood and is suitable for tall cabinets for customers’ highest utility.
After Podium receives the house plan and knows your requirements about the material, color and design you are into, it all begins!
We will finish a design plan within a week using a price estimate based on wood prices, your usable area and
functionalities of your choices. Then, if you agree to the plan and pay a deposit, it’s time for our team to create a 3D
plan to provide you with the look of your brand-new kitchen. Later, we will make the process of measuring the actual
area to adjust the plan for the production based on mechanical and electrical systems, also known as “M&E”, followed
by a 3D modelling again to let you see the exact kitchen layout for your own home.
Once the final price has been agreed upon, the Podium team will start the production for around 60 days. Finally, the furniture pieces will be installed in your place on the appointment date and finished within a few days, not including the installation of stonework and other electrical equipment that may require more time. Of course, you’ll get a 10-year warranty on the wood structure, and that’s what makes all customers trust our quality for so long.
The question is, what sets Bloc Smith apart from the rest of the half built-in furniture on the market?
We believe that it is due to our selection of high-quality materials like solid wood.
Basically, Podium offers three types of cabinets in Bloc Smith collection: hanging unit, regular unit and tall unit. All
cabinets from Bloc Smith are not framed with plywood. The choices of your cabinet body start with our solid butt joint
laminated board manufactured in-house by skilled craftsmen from generation to generation, available both in oak and
ash wood. Therefore, there is no doubt about its durability and long service life.
You can also choose “HMR” wood, which has a firm texture and high moisture resistance, with wood veneer that gives
a natural texture and beauty as solid wood. For a cabinet body, BauBuche is also your choice. It is beech plywood that is straighter and stronger than common beech. So, if you are looking for tall cabinets, BauBuche may be your right choice.
When it comes to the cabinet door, Podium crafts these pieces with solid oak or walnut, which has a thickness of 20 millimeters. However, the HMR door with a uniquely beautiful and durable Fenix surface and solid wood frame or even a clear glass door is also your choice.
Podium provides a variety of drawer options, starting from a solid drawer, followed by an inner drawer with a
dovetail joint. The options include a drawer using a solid wood frame with HMR wood covered with a Fenix surface to
show different designs that match various customer needs.
Since the worktop may be considered as the kitchen’s heart, the selection of materials for this part must be
excellent as well. Exactly, we are talking about solid wood and solid butt joint, or other materials such as engineered
stone from Silestone and worktop from Fenix. These materials can be selected based on your usage, preferences and
We truly believe that Bloc Smith stands out because of its finest wooden materials, a wide range of materials

Apart from the selection of materials, it comes to the quick installation process.
When Bloc Smith is a half built-in-furniture collection entirely built at the factory, its installation process takes a very brief period. In addition, this process is almost dust-free, so you don’t have to concern about the dirt it will cause!
